Semi-permanent varnish, what is it?

Semi-permanent varnish is a manicure technique that allows you to keep your varnish longer than with a classic varnish. In this article, Maryton nail supply will tell you what is semi-permanent varnish. Just keep reading.

It is in fact an acrylic gel mixed with pigments, which is applied to the nail then curing with UV.

Brighter than classic varnish, semi-permanent varnish is also more durable since it can last up to 3 weeks without chipping or becoming dull, and it is shock resistant.

Several varnish brands now offer their semi-permanent varnish, so that we find the same shades as for a classic varnish.

Semi-permanent varnish does not apply exactly like classic varnish. Its texture is less fluid and you have to pass each layer (base coat, 2 layers of varnish and top coat) under the UV lamp for around 20 seconds to harden them.
